Yeah, no real technical blockers to this. Providing basic variables like user name, repository name, project name, etc for use in JQL would be fairly straight forward I think.

We are looking into options to use the YACC plugin on project level (currently we use it on repository level). Our problem is that we need a value in the JQL statement that is dynamic, it would relate to the component name in Jira. The component name in Jira is in this example equal to the repository name. So I was wondering if it would be possible to introduce the use of variables in the JQL statement like repository name. Maybe other flexible options would also be possible when thinking of a solution in this direction with variables.
